TEST 2

Submitting your Answers:  If the result is a decimal number use two decimal places after the decimal

point, i.e. : 0.01 or 3.12 and include the zero before the decimal point if there is one.

If the result is in thousands please include the comma "," such as in 10,000.

If the result is a whole number just include the whole number, i.e. 5 or 32 or 540 or 3,400 with no decimal.

Leave no blank spaces before or after the answer or it will be read incorrectly!

1.

Problem 1 a) and b) refers to the circuit on the right.

Initially we turn the switch S on so that the circuit is

    connected.

    a)  If  I =2 Amps and the battery has a potential

of  V = 10Volts, what is the Resistor value?

    b) If R = 50 Ohms and the current I

is still 2 Amps, what is the value for V?

 Answer to a): R = Ohms.
 Answer to b): V = Volts.

2.    If the band's colors of 5 different resistors are as follows, specify the resistor values:

 a) R1: Blue Red Yellow; R1 Value: Ohms.
 b) R2: Brown Black Orange; R2 Value: Ohms.
 c) R3: Green Gray Brown; R3 Value: Ohms.
 d) R4: Violet White Red; R4 Value: Ohms.
 e) R5: Yellow Blue Black; R5 Value: Ohms.

3.    Convert the following Current values from Milliamps(mA) to Amps(A) and the resistor values

        from Kilo-Ohms to Ohms.

a) 50 mA = A.
b) 120 mA = A.
c) 3,500 mA = A.
d) 30 mA = A.
e) 5 KOhms = Ohms.
f) 0.2 KOhms = Ohms.
g) 41 KOhms = Ohms.
h) 1.8 KOhms = Ohms.
